Episode 34 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Tonight, Poufwa resumes coverage of Babylon 5′s second season, discussing Knives through the spectacular season finale, The Fall of Night!
Join us for an encore of PS vs Season 2, a moment of Silence with Dr. Slytherin, and a call to arms for AU fanfic writers. I spend time in hyperspace…well, I’m just hyper, really, and persist in discussing any episode except Knives through the spectacular season finale, The Fall of Night, Markabs come up, Omly gets married (happy 1st anniversary!), and there’s some amazing character progressions and a Vorlon Inquisition.
Happy listening!

Episode 33 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Resuming discussion of A Song of Ice and Fire, Dethryl is missing, Jen2′s bed is bigger than a jail cell, and circling around the parking lot back to our Harry Potter roots, we discuss how to properly train a post owl!
And other stuff relating to, you know…Westeros.
This episode covers roughly Chapters 324-471.

Episode 32 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Tonight, Poufwa’s coverage of Babylon 5′s second season resumes, with discussion of episodes GROPOS through and including In the Shadow of Z’ha’dum!
Interstellar war threatens the promise of Babylon 5 and anything not bolted down begins its trek towards the fan. These episodes deepen the arcs begun in Season 1′s Signs and Portents, as covered in Poufwa Exchange 26, and if you’ve been scratching your head and hoping for answers, the last episode of the set is one not to miss!
In this episode, we belatedly celebrate the anniversary of the launch of the second half of PS’ H/G-filled life, listen to her whine when given constructive criticism from her beta reader, remind you that much of this description was written by her beta reader, stop the presses to do a quick class on how to convert word documents to HTML, and we tell a boat story! It involves Melindaleo’s boat, a sandbar, the tow service, and did I mention Jen Classic was onboard? I mock PS’ lack of Mac-intosh…System…knowledge, Dethryl plays the Poufwa drinking game and gets alcohol poisoning, and we show our work from the homework assignment of Sheridan versus Sinclair!

Holy crap! An on-time release!
In tonight’s episode, beginning with Page 117 of A Song of Ice and Fire (Page 202 in the paperback), we question whether this is a fic. Can we call it a fic? More to the point, can we stop calling it a fic? I doubt it, but we report and you decide. PS is on quaaludes, can’t tell time or do maths, and issues a PSA. I’m getting excited already! Richard refuses to watch A Very Potter Musical despite it having an awesome rendition of its favorite characters. Sounds on-topic! Lady or Nymeria? Grey Wind or Ghost? Shaggydog or Summer? Jen2 is on vicodin because she was masquerading as Jen Classic and contributes greatly to the conversation, which is great all on its own, because Jen2 and PS are both under the influence. Come to think of it, PS was under the influence last week, so we’re not quite sure if it’s two distinct incidents or one really long hangover.
Changing the subject, where would PS and Jen2 want to be sold into marriage? Is PS squicked out by old-people!sex? Thank you for asking. Yes. Yes, she is. She didn’t think they had it, perhaps. Just like she didn’t think there were farms. That crazy PS. Meanwhile, Dethryl discusses the physics of planetary movement and rotation. No, that’s not a euphemism. We’ve been meaning to talk about it for thirty episodes. Luckily, he remembered. Please, Don’t Wake the Dragon (TM). Theon Greyjoy is a date rapist, just like Ron Weasley, and Jen2 and PS drool over the men of Westeros and Khal Drogo.
We have only a couple of things to mention about the HBO series. It’ll take no time at all, but who the hell is Ros? It’s Starbuck-is-a-girl all over again!
The Maniacs Responsible For This Production: Dethryl, Jen2, Richard, (Sort of Out There) PS, Aaron
Special Guests: Resident mascot Aaron’s keyboard (whose name will be revealed in episode 36!), Richard’s M&M’s

Let’s call it the very early launch of Season 2.5. Episode 30 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Tonight, Poufwa launches the first of three episodes covering the second season of Babylon 5, starting with Points of Departure and the arrival of Captain John Sheridan, and concluding with the arc-heavy Coming of Shadows, winner of the 1996 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation. I’ll refrain from mentioning it beat Apollo 13 and Deep Space Nine’s The Visitor, which on fourth viewing continues to turn my wife into a puddle of tears that can cook.
In tonight’s episode, you may just find a Seinfeld-inspired PotterFicWeekly reunion, Saul 3G, the pros and cons of security cameras, famine, pestilence, the third thing, the position of Mama PS on smut, an AU where Jesus shopped at the Salvation Army, the explosion of my brain from the last bullet point, ca-COONs, politics, and the death of PS’ will.

Episode 29 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Continuing our B5-ASOAF see-saw, we pick up A Game of Thrones! Around Page 91 in the Hardcover and 99 in paperback. Kindle readers – good luck!
Jen2 is a very funny woman, right? We welcome her back to the podcast in true Poufwanian style — on narcotics! She and Dethryl hate on Sansa, Catelyn goes for a ride in a boat-boat, and your hosts lock themselves in the car!
Varys is a child molester, either has cancer or male pattern baldness, and may be Frosty the Snowman. Would this be a good time for Jen2 to discuss the bare minimum requirements for making popcorn?
Around 35 minutes, we completely lose it. Just a caution.
Fasten, Zip: Socks, Pants, and Bras!
And PS strips on air. For ratings.
The Wackjobs Responsible For This Production: Dethryl, Jen2, and PS, with me way in the background and by no means responsible!

Episode 28 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Kicking off 2011, the Poufwanians gather tonight to break down the final half of Babylon 5′s first season, covering TKO through Chrysalis, or Chrysaylis – whatever it’s called!
This episode contains one assassination attempt, an over-under of 482 snorts, a visit to North Korea, several ghostly reindeer, at least six bone jokes, and debate of the most defining question of our time: fasten-zip, or zip-fasten?
The Wackjobs Responsible For This Production: Ryan, PS, Dethryl, Kathryn, Aaron, Aaron’s Keyboard, and introducing Incognito!

Episode 27 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Tonight, we proudly debut our George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, starting with Book I – A Game of Thrones!
We’ve tried summaries and are miserable. The cut and paste, for those who bumped their heads.
Sword and Sorcery, hold the Sorcery. Lord of the Rings, but not really. Very shiny.
This episode covers roughly the first 100 pages, and Poufwanians are advised and encouraged to read ahead and beyond. Future episodes will bite away at this first book in difficult-to-measure chunks, and releases will be alternated with our ongoing coverage of Babylon 5, with a zombie thrown in here and there for good measure.
In tonight’s episode:
~I didn’t do my homework and repetitively compare the book to Babylon 5, even though they’re totally different types of genre and media. Broken brains and zombies and all that…
~You mean this book is actually about politics?
~Ice, Ice baby!
~How big is that thing, actually?!
~Do’s and Don’t's for beheading
~Bastard Etiquette
~The Red Keep is now a frat house
~It’s no wonder Jon is Emo, he’s freezing his balls off
~The hero DIES?
~The Westeros Realty Company
~The only place where killing puppies as a toddler is a plus on your resume
~Gregor Clegane – Host on Sprout, double-dutch jump rope pro
~Joffrey’s an asshat
~Sir Rodrick as a Snowbird on TPiR!
~PS dissects the meaning of old
~PS has a weird book…
~Richard plays Devil’s Advocate for Jaime & Cercei
~ASoIaF the Musical
~No means no, but does it mean no or yes or maybe?
~Dothraki don’t need cable

Because we’d have to renumber every single episode in post-production if we called this Episode 27, Special Edition 1 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Once upon a time there was a boy named Ryan. He balances his checkbook for fun and hates zombies. Those are his things. He’s mildly obsessed with Doctor Who. And BattleStar Galactica. But not zombies. Hates those.
Once upon a time there was a girl named Jen. Since she showed up late and that username was taken by a plucky Texan, she picked Jen2 instead. Hard to believe that was still available. Jen2 collects hard drives and is one of those Black Friday shoppers. You know the type. Tents and the like. But no zombies. Hates those more than Ryan does.
One day, Jen2′s mother…something…made her watch The Walking Dead on AMC Sunday evenings at 10/9 central. For sport, or perhaps on a bet. We think she missed the zombies.
This next bit’s a little weird. Jen2 loved it. She didn’t know why, so she blackmailed Ryan. As one does. She had pictures…and things. She told him to watch The Walking Dead on AMC Sunday evenings at 10/9 central, and see what happened So he did it, because…you know…of the pictures, and worse…the things.
Lightning struck twice. Ryan could see the three tachyon pulses and needed a static warp shell to save the universe. Zombies…done well!
If you’re scratching your head, just read this.
Police officer Rick Grimes leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by zombies.
Stop reading. That was rubbish. Try this instead.
Join two zombie-hating-converts in this three-part journey into the most addictive television series of the season, beginning tonight with review of the first four episodes of AMC’s The Walking Dead!
And mind your stomachs.
This series is strongly rated R for language and wicked scary images. Grown men have cried at less. Not me though. I was brave.

Episode 26 of the Poufwa Exchange has been released!
Forgive the lateness of this episode. We couldn’t find what I lovingly refer to as “the damn release button.”
For the next several weeks, the Poufwa Exchange will alternate between discussion and analysis of J. MIchael Straczynski’s, Babylon 5, and George RR Martin’s A Game of Thrones. Babylon 5 is up tonight, with a double-length episode covering the first thirteen episodes, from Midnight on the Firing Line through to the key episode of Signs and Portents, for which the season is named.
In tonight’s episode:
* I have a fever of 102.6, have an hour-long phone discussion with Apple technical support which to this day I don’t remember, had a heated conversation with Mrs. Huggles who as it turns out was not in the room but twenty-three miles away, and despite our little production’s colorful and vicodin-fueld history, was too incapacitated to participate for at least ninety minutes.
* We welcome Kathryn as a new host of the Poufwa Exchange! Her first assignment is to spend the bulk of this episode duct-taped in the corner.
* PS may once have been a murder suspect, but promises she is not a sexual predator. Relief fills the audience.
* Aaron breaks in our new Explicit barrier!
* Jen Classic prank calls my mother.
* PS does not have the technology.
* S does not stand for “Special.”
* Dethryl discovers the joys of monologuing.
* PS looks within herself. Conclusion: She’s a slashy slasher.
* Humans will eventually evolve telepathy and need something like the Psi-Corps to protect human freedom.
* Libertarians will win planet-wide office…in a couple hundred years.
* Lt. Commander Ivanova is much, much cooler than Lt. Commander Takashima.
* Everyone likes Londo. Everyone likes G’Kar. Everyone likes Londo and G’Kar in the same scenes.
* PS is not drunk.
* PS and Aaron are not Centauri.
* We figure out where the light from ten years ago went.
* Lucky 13
Next Time on Poufwa Exchange:
Roughly the first 100 pages of A Game of Thrones
The Maniacs Responsible For This Production: (Really Out there) Slytherin Actual, Lt. David Corwin, (Sort of Out There) Poufwa Actual, Mr. Aaron, Ensign Kathryn
Special Guest And Mascot Since The Goat Died: Aaron’s keyboard, to be named at a later time.
